An Interview with Peter Johns, newly appointed Chief Officer of Marketing and Event Development for the Minnesota Thunder
By Brian Quarstad
St. Paul MN (January 22, 2008) -- "Every writer needs a reader. My job is to arrange the meeting."

-Peter Johns-

In an interview with Blue Sky Soccer, Peter Johns, the newly appointed marketing director for the Minnesota Thunder, spelled out some of his plans for the organization this coming year as the team returns to James Griffin Stadium for the 2008 season. Johns also reveals his reason for leaving the same post at the Xcel center after 7 very successful years. He also shares with us his long history in the music business which led him to the live event business in which Peter also has a very successful portfolio of projects including the popular Edge Fest.

Quotes from Peter Johns:

"We want to build a team of consequence....It matters that we win or lose, it matters that you as a fan had a good time - didn't have a good time. We want to know that."

"You're paying to be in our house. We've invited you here with a promise, that you're going to have a good time. You're going to be part of that atmosphere tonight. There's nothing more exciting to me than that live experience."

"Our job is to make it consequential in your life. That you had a good time, that you're kids had a good time, that the group you went with had a good time. When it's all said and done, you walked out of there saying my money was well spent, I was treated like I mattered, I saw my game at my house and we had a good time."

Peter Johns is 43 years old and lives in Somerset Wisconsin. He is married and raising two boys, age 5 and 8 and continuing to remodel an old home that is over 100 years old.
