Blaine, MN (August 11, 2008) -- Aaron Paye, 5 year veteran of the MN Thunder, was traded on August 8th to the Atlanta Silverbacks. A trade that was initiated by Atlanta as they look to strengthen their team for the upcoming playoffs. more

Minnesota take down the Sounders for the second game in a row. It was a tough day for Seattle who had to be thinking of their upcoming Open Cup Semi-final. Nonetheless, the Thunder played some of their best soccer this season with a convincing 3 - 1 win. Seattle was to take an early lead with a goal from Cascio in the 15th minute. Tarley showed great composure and slotted the ball in the back of the net to bring the Thunder level in the 26th minute. In the second half it was all Minnesota Thunder! Sanchez would find the net twice, first in the 56th minute and then after a spectacular free kick from around 35 yards out! more

St. Paul, Minn. (August 08, 2008) -- The Minnesota Thunder announced today that Thunder forward Aaron Paye has been traded to the Atlanta Silverbacks for forward Nathan Knox. Knox returns to the Thunder after spending the 2005 and 2006 seasons in Minnesota. Knox won the USL First Division championship with the Seattle Sounders last season, and signed with the Silverbacks prior to the 2008 campaign. more
